RocknRoller School Discos and Fundraising Events

Now in our 3^rd year! We’ve held successful School Events in Berkshire, Essex, London, West Sussex, Kent, Surrey, Herts and Hampshire and the majority have already rebooked us! We have developed successful on-going relationships with State and Independent Schools, Councils, Academies and PTAs.

Our School Disco Packages deliver an event which pupils will be talking about for terms-to-come! We keep the same format as our sell-out Public Events and provide high-quality Skates and Full Safety Equipment, a Professional Sound and Lighting System, Live DJ and CRB checked staff. Pupils are encouraged to dress-up and offered the opportunity to buy anything from TuTus to Neon Headbands, Glowsticks to Legwarmers from our on-site RocknRoller Shop. Our simple pricing structure offers exceptional value for money and in most cases costs the School itself absolutely nothing!

Will It Damage Our Floor?

This is understandably the question that most schools ask us. Our skates and equipment are designed to be used on virtually ALL flat surfaces and are totally NON MARKING. All of our skates have been fitted with non-marking, soft urethane wheels that have never been used outdoors. We have held events on wooden, concrete, sprung, tiled and parquet floors and can provide contact numbers of previous Venue Managers if requested. All new venues are inspected prior to any event being confirmed and a venue-specific risk assessment produced prior to the event date. We hold £10m of Liability Insurance to protect not only the Pupils but the venue too!

What We Provide

Skates: Ranging from Junior Size 8 to Adult Size 12. All skates are regularly serviced and are all fitted with non-marking urethane wheels. Skates are treated with anti-bacterial spray after each use.
Full Safety Equipment: Elbow, knee, wrist guards and helmets are provided, all conforming to appropriate BS safety standards.
Sound and Lighting: A fully portable professional sound and lighting rig
DJ/Music/Games: An experienced DJ playing music and games suitable to the participating age-group, encouraging interaction, proprioceptive skills and general fitness with suitable prizes.
Staff: A minimum of 3 trained, CRB Certified staff will be present to assist with the fitting of skates and pads and the marshalling of the event. Teachers and staff are encouraged to assist in a “non-skating” capacity. (Though teachers have been known to venture onto the rink!)
Venue Risk Assessment: All venues will be inspected prior to the event and subsequent Venue Specific Risk Assessment made available for both Venue Manager and Party Organiser.
Public and Property Liability Insurance: our comprehensive Liability Insurance covers The Venue and the Public. (Copies available upon request.)
Shop: We bring a shop selling everything from TuTus and Legwarmers, to Glowsticks and Neon Clothing and accessories to help create the “Theatre” of the event.

2012 Prices

£6.50 per skater for a minimum of 120 skaters unless otherwise agreed. (Schools and clubs last year charged anything from £6.00 to £9.50 per skater)

*Prices are for a Two Hour Skate Session (Schools with smaller halls may still be able to hold RocknRoller Events by holding several smaller sessions. There will be a small additional cost for this to cover extra staff costs )

**Transport within a 20-mile radius of Company offices is included. Additional mileage charged at 50p per mile. (London Weighting £50.00)

***Events booked Friday PM to Sunday (inc) will incur an additional weekend charge.

A 2 hour Family-Focused Roller Disco suitable for EVERYONE! We supply Skates and Safety Equipment, Live DJ, Sound and Disco Lighting have great staff to help you find your feet and there's games dancing and lots more. VIP Party Packages available too!
