About Rock‘n’Roller Disco

Founded in 2009 by Natasha and Paul, RocknRoller, working in partnership with the NHS Trusts' Change4Life Programme aims to provide children and parents/guardians with the opportunity to exercise and have fun together in an affordable, safe and friendly environment.

All the equipment including skates, pads and helmets are regularly checked and staff are on hand at each venue to offer advice and assistance in the correct fitting of all equipment. A combination of disco lighting, up-to-date chart hits and disco classics help create a true roller experience that the whole family can enjoy.

Wherever possible, local youngsters are recruited to assist with marshalling and equipment hire, with a view to developing operational and customer service skills and eventually running individual skate functions. Adult staff are CRB checked, risk assessments and method statements are in place and regularly reviewed and Health and Safety Regulations rigorously adhered to.

Profiles

Paul Howells

Paul gained his first fitness qualification whilst serving in the Forces in 1989. He has coached and trained a wide variety of teams, organisations and individuals in that time including racing drivers, cyclists, The US Marine Corp and Purley John Fisher RFCs, children and parent groups and endurance athletes. An experienced Sports Therapists and Sports Nutritionist, RocknRoller allows Paul to combine his passion for sport and coaching with his belief that being active and healthy doesn’t mean spending long hours in a gym. Paul does not allow his lack of skating ability to hold him back and can be regularly seen falling at a RocknRoller event near you!

Natasha Wood

RocknRoller is the result of Natasha's long standing love for roller skating and music! Her passion for skating dates back to her days as a youngster growing up in Surrey, attending regular roller events at Donyngs, Scooters at The Felbridge Hotel and Crawley leisure Centre. As mum to a 5 year old daughter and owner of a successful property location company, Natasha realised that the opportunities to exercise, and more specifically skate with the family were somewhat limited in the South East. After months of researching venues, discussing options and requirements with family and parents in similar situations, RocknRoller became a reality.
